Have you ever had a constant, nagging headache? This headache isn't one that you would feel on your forehead or at the base of the neck. This kind of headache with which I am referring is a type of situational headache that comes from certain stresses in life. I have one of those headaches right now. It has been hanging around for years. Let me explain my headache.
I bought a home almost exactly nine years ago. As with any new home, there are common issues to be repaired; therefore the builder offers a one year warranty. Well, I had some of those issues that were repaired during my one year time frame, but there was one issue, in particular, that was never remedied. I had a serious groundwater problem. It started about eight years ago and finally reared its ugly head a few weeks ago.
My septic tank started to leak at the area around my field lines. Well, from time to time, it did this in the nine years I have had my home, usually after a major rainstorm. I called an expert and was told by an environmental protection agent that I may have a groundwater issue. I recently had to call in a septic worker to repair these issues. I spent $1500 to install an underground pipe, to be fed into an already underground sewer system, sealed up any leaks inside my three tanks, and completely covered the existing holding tank. Wow. So, just when I thought everything was finally fixed, it rained again, and here I am, back to this leaking septic tank problem. Feeling my headache now? As if that wasn't problem enough, had I repaired this issue last year, I could've received a grant from the county to cover most of the cost.
Now, I have to call this repair guy back out to my home and have him install more field lines. This will cost me $1200, and I am not even sure my headache will go away after that.
In the city of Conyers septic tank service are done by professionals only because of the populations, the number of companies around and the laws governing the state of Georgia. Companies offering these services need to be certified first before they can offer services. Whatever problem you may have it is good to have professional handle it before it gets worse.
